Clean up exercise by Assembly and local council Churches at Nkenkaasu.

Nkenkaasu witnessed a remarkable display of community spirit as the Assembly and local council churches teamed up for a collaborative clean-up exercise. The event, held on aimed to promote cleanliness and environmental hygiene in the area.

Residents, volunteers, and members of various churches gathered early in the morning at designated points across Nkenkaasu. Armed with brooms, shovels, and trash bags, they embarked on a mission to rid the community of litter and debris.

The clean-up exercise covered streets, public spaces, and communal areas, with participants working tirelessly to sweep, collect, and dispose of waste responsibly. The collective effort not only beautified the surroundings but also instilled a sense of pride and ownership among the residents.

INAUGURATION OF COURT HOUSE AND MAGISTRATE BUNGALOW AT AKOMADAN

A momentous occasion unfolded in Akomadan as His Lordship Justice Anin Yeboah inaugurated the newly constructed Court House and Magistrate Bungalow on 24th March 2023. The event marked a significant milestone in the community's legal infrastructure and judicial services.

The inauguration ceremony, attended by dignitaries, legal professionals, community leaders, and residents, was a testament to the collaborative efforts that brought the projects to fruition. His Lordship Justice Anin Yeboah, in his address, emphasized the importance of accessible and efficient justice delivery in fostering societal progress and upholding the rule of law.

The Court House, equipped with modern facilities and technology, is poised to enhance judicial proceedings and provide a conducive environment for legal proceedings. It symbolizes a commitment to justice, fairness, and the protection of rights within the community.

The Magistrate Bungalow, designed for the accommodation of judicial officers, reflects a holistic approach to supporting the judiciary and ensuring continuity in legal services. Its strategic location near the Court House promotes convenience and accessibility for magistrates serving in Akomadan and surrounding areas.

Speaking at the inauguration, His Lordship Justice Anin Yeboah commended the stakeholders involved in the planning and execution of the projects. He underscored the importance of infrastructure development in advancing the administration of justice and urged all stakeholders to uphold professionalism, integrity, and diligence in their roles.

The ceremony was also marked by cultural performances, symbolic gestures, and expressions of gratitude from the community towards the judiciary and government authorities. It served as a moment of pride and celebration, signifying progress and a renewed commitment to the principles of justice and legal excellence.

6th March 2024 Celebration

The Offinso North District Chief Executive, Hon. Albert Sefa Boampong on the March 6, 2024 called on the citizens to contribute their quota towards the development of the district.  He also called on school children to take their education seriously since that is right way they can progress in life.

Inauguration of 5th Assembly of the Offinso North District Assembly

The 5th Assembly of the Offinso North District Assembly was inaugurated by the Deputy Minister of Transport Hon. Alhassan Tampuli Sulemana on 12th February, 2024 joined the Offinso North District Chief Executive Hon. Albert Sefa Boampong and the District Co-ordinating Director Mr. Daniel Owusu to inaugurate the 5th Assembly of the Offinso North District and called for unity and cohesion among stakeholders in the performance of their tasks that will bring progress to the assembly.

Offinso North District Assembly held stakeholder consultation

The Offinso North District Assembly recently conducted a stakeholder consultation session, bringing together key community members, leaders, and organizations to discuss pertinent issues and collaborative strategies for local development. The consultation, held served as a platform for open dialogue, idea sharing, and collective decision-making.

During the consultation session, various topics of importance to the district were deliberated upon, including:

  1. Infrastructure Development: Identifying priority areas for infrastructure projects such as roads, schools, healthcare facilities, and water supply systems.
  2. Economic Empowerment: Discussing initiatives to promote entrepreneurship, job creation, and economic opportunities for youth and women in the community.
  3. Social Services: Reviewing the status of social welfare programs, healthcare services, education, and support for vulnerable populations within the district.
  4. Environmental Sustainability: Addressing environmental concerns, waste management, conservation efforts, and measures to enhance the quality of life for residents.
  5. Community Engagement: Exploring ways to enhance citizen participation, civic education, and community-driven initiatives for inclusive development.

The District Chief Executive, welcomed stakeholders and emphasized the importance of collaborative partnerships in driving progress and addressing challenges effectively. He highlighted the assembly's commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsive governance.

Participants, including representatives from local businesses, civil society organizations, traditional leaders, and government agencies, actively contributed ideas, insights, and recommendations during the consultation. The interactive sessions facilitated networking, knowledge sharing, and the exchange of best practices.

Department of Social Welfare And Comm. Dev’t Organized an ISS Program at Asempaneye

The Department of Social Welfare and Community Development recently spearheaded an Integrated Social Services (ISS) program in Asempaneye, aimed at providing comprehensive support to vulnerable populations and promoting community development. The initiative, held  brought together various stakeholders committed to enhancing social welfare and empowerment. Asempanaye is among the selected eighteen (18) communities which benefited from ISS program and its been implemented by the Department of Social Welfare And Community  Development. The program seeks to educate the masses on children's welfare.
