Distribution of items to newly trained artisans

In a bid to empower local artisans and boost economic growth, the Department of Trade and Industry recently organized a distribution event for newly trained artisans in the community. The event, held at the Community Center, saw a significant turnout of enthusiastic participants eager to receive the tools and resources necessary to kickstart their businesses.

The initiative, part of the department's ongoing efforts to support entrepreneurship and skill development, provided artisans with essential items such as toolkits, raw materials, and marketing materials. These resources are crucial for artisans to establish and grow their businesses, enabling them to contribute effectively to the local economy.

THE MANAGEMENT OF OFFINSO NORTH DISTRICT ASSEMBLY HELD A MEETING WITH CPA Ghana (NGO)

The management of Offinso North District Assembly recently convened a strategic meeting with representatives from CPA Ghana (NGO) to discuss collaborative initiatives aimed at enhancing community development and governance. The meeting held  brought together key stakeholders committed to driving positive change in the district. During the meeting, officials from the Offinso North District Assembly and CPA Ghana engaged in fruitful discussions on various topics, including sustainable development goals, grassroots empowerment, and capacity building for local institutions. The dialogue emphasized the importance of partnership and coordination in addressing challenges and leveraging opportunities for growth. Tthe District Chief Executive of Offinso North, highlighted the significance of collaborative efforts between government entities and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in driving development initiatives. He reiterated the assembly's commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships that benefit the community. Representatives from CPA Ghana shared insights and best practices from their experiences working in similar contexts, emphasizing the importance of community engagement, participatory decision-making, and inclusive development strategies. They expressed readiness to collaborate closely with the Offinso North District Assembly in implementing impactful projects and programs.

Late Offinso North DCE laid to rest (Photos)

The body of the late District Chief Executive (DCE) for Offinso North in the Ashanti Region, David Kwasi Asare Boakye, has been laid to rest. He died on November 7, 2022, at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after a short illness. The late DCE died at age 70. He left behind a wife and six children. The burial service of the late DCE was held at the Methodist School Park in Afrancho. Dignitaries who were at the funeral included the Vice President, Dr Mahamud Bawumia, Local Government Minister, Dan Botwe, the Member of Parliament for the area, who doubled as the deputy local government minister, Agustine Collins Ntim, and some members of the NPP.
